Rain brings temporary relief in Sivakasi

Today, at evening, Sivakasi received sharp showers which brought a sigh of relief to Sivakasians, who had been braving sweltering heat with seven hours of power cut and scorching heat of summer in the town. Thick dark clouds kept hovering over Sivakasi town during evening, bringing down the temperature which had become unbearable during the past few days. The sudden change of climate in Sivakasi has brought cheers to the Sivakasians. There was steady rain accompanied by thunder, from 04:45 p.m. to 05:10 p.m.. The sharp showers brought some temporary relief from water crisis. Today maximum temperature will be 36 degree Celsius (average) while the minimum temperature will be 28 degree Celsius, in Sivakasi. Last week the maximum and minimum temperature was recorded as 40 degree celsius and 30 degree celsius respectively. Sivakasi weather expected to remain partly cloudy and drizzle / rain for next two days.
