Sivakasi gets summer rain

After days of sweltering heat, Sivakasians were in for a pleasant surprise as clouds finally opened up and cooled the earth with refreshing rain accompanied with strong winds, lightening and thunders, today evening at 05:20 p.m. to 05:35 p.m.. Though the increasing temperature over the last few days had the Sivakasi town hoping for rain, it caught everyone by surprise when the skies darkened and it started pouring all of a sudden. The most enjoyable part was probably the strong and cool winds in Sivakasi that accompanied the rain. Much before the rain came in full force, the trees in Sivakasi swayed in the breeze, as if dancing with joy. There was thunder and lightning too, which, so to speak, added the sound and light effects to the dancing trees. Rains likely continue for next one week with maximum temperature of 40 degree celsisus and minimum of 29 degree celsisus.
