Change in pattern of train services

MADURAI : The railways has announced changes in pattern of some train services on three days to facilitate construction works in some sections of the Madurai railway division. According to a statement, the changes are made on October 8 (Wednesday), October 12 (Sunday) and October 15 (Wednesday) to facilitate construction of limited use subways in Virudhunagar - Tulukapatti and Virudhunagar - Sivakasi sections on these days.

The trains partially cancelled on October 8 and 12 are: train no. 22627 Trichy - Tirunelveli Intercity Express between Virudhunagar and Tirunelveli. This train will return as train no. 22628 from Virudhunagar to Trichy as per its scheduled timings.

Train no. 56769 Palani - Tiruchendur passenger is partially cancelled between Virudhunagar - Tirunelveli. This train will return as train no. 56770 from Virudhunagar to Palani as per schedule. Train no. 56770 Tiruchendur - Palani passenger is partially cancelled between Tirunelveli - Virudhunagar and it will return as train no. 56769 from Tirunelveli to Tiruchendur as per schedule.

Train no. 56319 Nagercoil - Coimbatore passenger is partially cancelled between Sattur - Madurai. This train will return as train no. 56320 from Sattur to Nagercoil as per its scheduled timings. Train no. 56320 Coimbatore - Nagercoil passenger is partially cancelled between Madurai - Sattur. This train will return as train no. 56319 from Madurai to Coimbatore at 3pm with a delay of 90 minutes.

Passengers alighting or boarding by train nos. 22627/22628 Trichy -Tirunelveli - Trichy Intercity Express at Virudhunagar, Sattur and Kovilpatti will be transported by buses to and from Tirunelveli on these two days.

Trains fully cancelled on the three days are: train no. 56733 Madurai - Sengottai passenger and train no. 56734 Sengottai - Madurai passenger. tnn
