Sivakasi Arulmigu Sri Badrakaliamman Kovil Chithirai Pongal was celebrated by Sivakasians on 9th May 2011. All the offices and industries in Sivakasi were announced as holiday for Aaram Thiruvizha. After worshiping goddess Sri Badrakaliamman, most of the people have gone to exhibition that was held in SHNV Higher Secondary School Sivakasi. Police securities were tighten to control the crowd. Colourful lights were displayed in the temple. Parking facilities were made in the main road. Lot of sweet stalls, Ice cream shops, Fancy materials shops, Computer astrology, snacks centres were placed in roadside. Really Aaram Thiruvizha and Chithirai Pongal entertains the Sivakasians.
