Sub Collector inaugurates Diwali sale at Sarvodaya Sangh

Today, Virudhunagar District Sub Collector inaugurated khadi sales, at Ramanathapuram Central Sarvodaya Sangh, Sivakasi. Sub Collector, inaugurated the 2015 Diwali Discount Sale by lighting kuthuvilakku. Marking the Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations, he paid homage to the leaders. Dr.V.K.Kathiravan, received the first pattu sale from Mr.P.Ravichandran, Manager, Khadi Kraft, Sivakasi. Mr.Govindaraj, Vijayam Mess, Mr.L.Balasubramanian & Mr.L.Arunagiri, Vijaya Fine Arts, were present in the inaugural function. Mr.N.Rajendran, Sectretary, Mr.S.Saravanan, Treasurer, Mr.P.Ravichandran, Branch Manager and Staff member, Ramanathapuram Central Sarvodaya Sangh were present on the occasion. Mr.P.Ravichandran said sivakasiweekly.com that, last year the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan sold khadi products worth Rs.1.65 crore, while it aimed at a sale of Rs.2 crore this year. Every year Diwali Discount Sale at Sarvodaya Sangh begins from Gandhi Jayanti and a 20 per cent discount would be offered for saree varieties. The discount sale would go up to Diwali, he added.
