Navaratri Festival Sale Picks Up

Whenever festivals such as Diwali, Christmas approach, shops in Sivakasi start concentrating on the sale of festival-related articles. Sivakasi shop owners procure articles such as colour papers, idols, clour clothes and other decorating materials, well in advance of the Navaratri festival. A visit to some of the shops in Sivakasi Bazar showed Navaratri decorative materials in various hues being hung in front of the shops, and shoppers busy buying them. Price starts from Rs.5/-. The sales will be doubled by today night.
