Football Tournament in Sivakasi

Sattur Town Team won the Championship title in the football tournament organised by SHNV Football Club, on 24th June 2012, Sunday, in Kamarajar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Sivakasi. Mr.Ravi and RajKumar of SHNV Higher Secondary School Sivakasi inaugurated the tournament. 12 teams from various areas of Virudhunagar District participated in the tournament. Sattur Town Team won I Prize Rs.3001, II Prize Rs.2001 won by Virudhunagar Team and both the winner and runner teams were awarded with a shield. Kurinji Team from Rajapalayam ranked third position and won cash prize Rs.1001. Prizes were distributed by Mr.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality.
