Tree Saplings Distributed

In connection with World Forest Day, JCI Sivakasi distributed tree saplings to Sivakasians, on 21st March 2013,Thursday. Jc.Ganesan, Past President, JCI Sivakasi and Mr.M.Kaliappan, Ayurvedic Doctor, Mamsapuram was the Guest of Honour and Chief Guest for the function respectively. The function was held at Rajalakshmi Service Centre, AKP Street, Sivakasi. The Tree Sapling Distribution Campaign started after ribbon cutting by Jc.Ganesan. Under the campaign, 250 saplings of Teak, Neem, Pungai, Mango, Papaya, Thennai, Mahilampoo and Poovarasu were distributed to those who registered their name with JCI Sivakasi to get the free tree sapling. Jc.Jayaram, IPP, JC.Arumugam, President, Jc.Dinesh, Secretary and 20 JCI Sivakasi members were presented in the programme. Jc.Selva Murugan, Project Director of the event said sivakasiweekly.com that, the trees saplings were distributed to support and sustain efforts seeking to protect the country-s forests from further degradation.
