Heavy rain lashes Sivakasi

Heavy rains, accompanied by strong wind, thunder and lightning lashed Sivakasi town, today, at evening from 5:20 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. Several trees were uprooted in the strong winds that preceded the rains. The super rain not only chilled Sivakasi grounds but also filled the water tanks of Sivakasians. The downpour brought cheers for Sivakasians, once again. Rainfall brings relief from recent water crisis problem, in Sivakasi. Sky remains cloudy. And more rain is expected today.
