Sivakasians beware of Vinayaka Idol theft

As Vinayakar Chathurthi Celebration is just three days away, Vinayakar idol theft on the rise in Tamilnadu. A Vinayakar idol was stolen near PKN Road, Sivakasi. The theft of the idol took place at midnight today. A gang decamped with the one and a half feet Vinayagar idol and the culprits are yet to be nabbed. And for the last few years jewellery theft cases are also on the rise in Sivakasi. Jewellery thefts are on abnormal rise in Sivakasi town. Sivakasians are asked to inform the police when they go out of town so that they can keep an eye on their houses during routine patrols and by beat constables. Sivakasi women, beware, Chain snatchers on the prowl.
