Fireworks - Safety Awareness Week

The Fireworks Safety Awareness Week (SAW - 2013) commenced on 5th September 2013, Thursday, in Sivakasi. The event, organised by Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) along with Tamil Nadu Fireworks and Amorces Manufacturers Association (TANFAMA) and the Indian Fireworks Manufacturers Association (TIFMA), was inaugurated by hoisting safety flags in the fireworks units. The SAW 2013 flag was hoisted in all the Sivakasi Fireworks units and the owners of the units administered the safety pledge to their workers. All the management and workers signed below the pledge and displayed it at the entrance of the factory. Quiz competition, essay writing, poster competition, rangoli competition will also be held at SFR College on 8th September 2013, Sunday. Final of the quiz competition will be conducted at Sri Kaliswari Le orchids on 9th September 2013, Monday.
