Sony Fest 2013

On September 5th, the students and the parents packed in the College Seminar Hall for the cultural program Sony Fest 2013. The motto of Sony Fest is to develop the individualism and leadership qualities of the students. Mrs.G.Dhana Lakshmi, Chariman, Municipality of Thiruthangal was the Chief Guest. She delivered her Chief Guest address motivating the students to identify the talents in them and achieve success. She added that only through the constant effort they can build their confidence. She quoted Leonardo da Vinci and Chetan Bhagat, engineers well known as a painter and a writer.

Over the course of twenty days, many competitions were conducted and faculty members judged the competitions. Elocution, Essay Writing, Poetry Competitions in both English and Tamil, Turn a Coat, Star Wars, Cartooning, Collage, Art from Waste, Aqua Colour Drawing, Vegetable Carving, Face Masking, Mehandi, Treasure Hunt, Hair Do, Quiz, Tea Cup Painting, One Act Play, Adzap, Variety Variety, Mime, Cooking, Kerchief Painting, Mono Act, Floral Arrangement, Rangoli, Group Dance, Solo Dance, Non Classical, Solo Classical, Gramia Nadanam were categorized into on stage and off stage events. Final rounds of Dance and Singing were performed on the day of Sony Fest 2013. The students gave ground-breaking performances on the stage. The Seminar Hall was vibrant with the cheer of the students. Mrs.L.Gayathri Devi, Coordinator of Sony Fest 2013 was applauded for the cooperation of the students and the smooth conduct of the program. Selvan.D.Ruthra Sekaran, Selvan.P.T.Aravinth, Selvan.S.Bhuvanesh Kumar, Selvi.V.Gayathri and Selvi.V.Vaishalee were selected as the best performers of Sony Fest 2013. The Chief Guest of the day honoured the best performers with a memento. In her closing remarks, the Chief Guest encouraged the students to participate in the national level competitions and bring laurels to the college.
