Sivakasi voters queue up to enrol

In the run up to the Assembly elections, long queues can be seen at almost every voter registration booth in Sivakasi, today. Besides first time voters, a large number of people lining up at the centres are those who have changes and modifications in their voter id. In Sivakasi, special voter registration camps were conducted on 20th October 2013, Sunday and today. The special camps were attracting new voters in droves. Officials said sivakasiweekly.com that there was good response to voter registration camps. Yesterday, the district administration organised a rally involving Coronation Girls Higher Secondary School students to create awareness among youth to enrol themselves as voters. The rally was inaugurated by Mr.Hariharan, Collector, Virudhunagar District.
