Dengue awareness programme held at VSKD

Today, a Dengue Awareness Programme was organised by Sivakasi Municipality at VSKD Matriculation Girls Higher Secondary School, Sivakasi, to create awareness about the dengue fever and promotion of healthy environment in Sivakasi town. Mrs.J.Saradha, Principal, VSKD Mat. Hr. Sec. School presided over the function. Dr.V.K.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality told the students about means to prevent themselves from dengue fever. In his speech Dr.V.K.Kathiravan highlighted the mode of transmission of the disease and the ways of preventing an outbreak. Sivakasi Municipality Commissioner, Staff and VSKD School Staff were present on the occasion. Students enthusiastically took part in the interaction session. At the end of the session, chief guest cleared the doubts raised by the students.
