Awareness Rally on World Diabetes Day

Screening camps and awareness rallies marked the World Diabetes Day observance in the Sivakasi town on 14th November 2013, Thursday. Sivakasi Diabetes Club in association with Rajesh Clinic organised a free diabetes awareness and detection camp and awareness rally at Amman Kovil Patti School, Sivakasi. The awareness rally was flagged off by Dr.V.K.Kathiravan, Chairman, Sivakasi Municipality. Earlier, in the LCD projector, Diabetes awareness slides were screened. Mr.Albert Selvaraj, President, Sivakasi Diabetes Club, Mrs.Annaamalaithayammal, Director, were present in the diabetes camp. Counseling regarding diet and exercise was given by Dr.A.Ganesh Moorthy. Dr.A.Ganesh Moorthy and his 10 members team screened diabetic patients. Proper medical support and free tablets, syrup and Pro Calcium Tin was also provided to patients. Members of Sivakasi Diabetes Club and Rajesh Clinic Staff were actively participated in the camp. Sundal and coffee were also distributed to the gathering.
