Sivakasi prepares for Christmas 2013

Many Sivakasians are seen flocking to Sivakasi Bazaar to buy their Christmas decorations. Sivakasi town is filled with excitement as Christmas is just around the corner. Sivakasians have already started cleaning their homes, preparing sweets and decorating their homes. In Sivakasi, the major attractions of the Christmas festival, which is the star, Christmas tree and crib, are being put up in all the Christian and non Christian households to ring in the festivities. Last minute shoppers pack local bakeries such as Shanthi Bakery, Coronation Bakery and Puppy-s Bakery. As Christmas is just 12 hours away, churches across Sivakasi Town are getting decorated with festoons, serial lights, decorative papers and pandhals. Decoration work in Churches are in full swing and expected to be completed by today evening. All the churches in Sivakasi is attracting a steady stream of visitors who flock to the premises in the evenings to enjoy the festive buzz of Christmas. In Sivakasi, the Christian homes are usually bustling with activity and decorated with twinkling Stars and Christmas Trees, for a month.
