Flower prices shoot up

In Sivakasi, the price of inferior Jasmine (off season flower) and Mullai Poo was Rs.300 per kg on last week, while it skyrocketed to Rs.1,200 per kg today. This sudden rise in price is due to Thai Pongal Festival. Sivakasi florist expected that the price of Jasmine flower will reach Rs.400/- within next two days.
