Rain lashed Sivakasi

Heavy rains, accompanied by wind lashed Sivakasi town, today, at afternoon from 03:10 p.m. to 03:50 p.m. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. The downpour brought cheers for Sivakasians. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water and brings temporary relief from water crisis. A few spells of rain are expected for next two days in Sivakasi town. The steady rain for around 45 minutes was a bit of surprise for Sivakasians.
