Students reached the school drenched

Today, Sivakasians began the day on a pleasant note, with a cool breeze early morning. The gradual dip in the temperature began after cloud cover lifted from over Sivakasi town at morning 7:40 a.m.. Caught unawares by the sudden opening of the skies most Sivakasians especially students and office-goers, in the absence of umbrellas, were drenched. They took shelter inside nearby buildings, temple pandhals and tea shops. Rain was non stop and students reached the school drenched. Rain stops at 10:05 a.m. but drizzle continues. A few spells of rain are expected for next two days in Sivakasi town. The steady rain for around 2 hours was a bit of surprise for Sivakasians.
