Devotees throng 5aam thriuvizha mandagapadi amidst drizzle

Incessant rainfall did not deter devotees from queuing up to offer puja to the goddess Badrakaliamman on the occasion of 5aam Thiruvizhaa on 3rd May 2014, Saturday, at Mandagapadi place, Sivakasi. Thousands of devotees thronged Mandagapadi for darshan on the special occasion. The devotees stood in queues from 06:00 p.m. braving the showers which began in the evening and lasted till 09:40 p.m.. While many devotees carried umbrellas to protect themselves from the rain, the majority of them made do without any sort of protection.
