Sivakasi gets ready for school reopening

In Sivakasi, shoppping stores and shoe showrooms are lining up deals and offers for school essentials as students gear up to return to schools after a two-month summer break. As the demand for these trendy bags is high this season, the Sivakasi Bazar is flooded with these bags with prices ranging from Rs.220/- to Rs.850/- and shoes ranging from Rs.300/- to Rs.800/-. Many shops and showrooms in Sivakasi Bazar, which have a good stock of such trendy bags (Chhota Beem, Ben10, Dora and so on0), are doing brisk business with the school reopening date fast approaching. School kids are busy in buying shoes, shocks, lunch box, school note books, school stationeries such as pen, pencils, box, erasers and water colours. Sivakasi parents also have no other option but to agree with the wishes of their children. Lots of roadside vendors has been mushroomed in Sivakasi town and busy making money by selling shoes for Rs.100/- and school bags for Rs.50/- to Rs.100/-. It is expected that the sale will be double by this weekend.
