Sivakasians beware of Vinayaka Idol theft

Vinayakar idol theft on the rise in Sivakasi area. Last month, a Vinayakar idol was stolen near Amathur, last month. The theft of the idol took place at midnight. A gang decamped with the two and a half feet Vinayagar idol and the culprits are yet to be nabbed. Last year, 3 vinayaka idols were stolen near PKN Road, National Colony and Coronation Colony. Sivakasians are asked to inform the police when they go out of town so that they can keep an eye on their houses during routine patrols and by beat constables.
