Today, the shopping frenzy for Ayutha Pooja has hit Sivakasians really hard, in Sivakasi town. Navaratri Festive shopping caused massive traffic jams in almost all parts of Sivakasi from yesterday afternoon onwards. As thousands of shoppers thronged four car streets of Sivakasi to make their last minute purchases, traffic was crippled on the key junctions of the town. Everyone carrying has been seen with vaalai, pori and vilambalam. In Sivakasi, Price of 1 vilambalam is Rs.15 - Rs.20/- and Vaalai Kannu is Rs.30 to Rs.40/-.
