Colour Kolam mark Pongal Festival

On the auspicious festival of Thai Pongal, most of the Sivakasians decorate the entrance of the house with beautiful Pongal Panai, Karumbu kolams (Knot or Twisted & Rangoli Kolam). And the Pongal Panai & Karumbu Kolam marks Thai Pongal Festival in Sivakasi town. During the Pongal season, people eat sugar canes and decorate the houses with kolam which is made using different colours.
