Sivakasi celebrates Maattu Pongal

Today, Mattu Pongal was celebrated in Sivakasi with traditional fervour. Livestock such as bulls, bullocks and cows have been worshipped during Maattu Pongal Festival. The horns of these cattle are decorated and painted with colourful paints. Sivakasians offered the livestock with Pongal, Sweets and Bananas.
