Sharp showers take Sivakasi by surprise

Sivakasians were in for a surprise when there were sudden showers today evening, between 05:20 p.m. to 06:05 p.m.. The weather throughout the day was partly cloudy. Sudden sharp showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in Sivakasi town, immediately bringing down the temperature. Sivakasians, who had been suffering due to the sweltering heat this week, heaved a sigh of relief. For the next one week sky will be partly cloudy, with maximum and minimum temperature of 35 and 25 degree celsius and there is chances for rain on 5th and 6th May 2015, i.e., on Chithirai Pongal & Kayirukuthu Festival.
