Rain for the second consecutive day in Sivakasi

The downpour that lashed Sivakasi town and its suburbs on Monday morning brought the much required respite from the summer heat. And Sivakasi received rain between 12:40 p.m. to 01:20 p.m., for the second consecutive day. Roads remained inundated for a few hours. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. The rain has stepped up the inflow into Mariamman Theppakulam. Inflow of rain water to Sirukulam and Peria Kulam remains ZERO.
