Float festival held at Sivakasi Badrakaliamman Kovil

Yesterday, as a part of Chithirai Pongal Festival 2015, Sivakasi Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai organised float festival, for the first time, at Sivakasi Pathirakaliamman Kovil, Teppakulam. Thousands of devotees thronged the Sri Badrakaliamman Temple tank for the float festival, which was held on 22nd May 2015, Friday. The temple was decorated with colourful lights. The presiding deity of the temple, Goddess Badrakali Amman was taken on the grand float, decorated with flowers and colourful appendages. Devotional light music was arranged.
