Rain lashes Sivakasi

Today, after a sweltry heat for the past one week, Sivakasi received sharp showers which brought a sigh of relief to Sivakasians. Sivakasi expereienced mild shower from 10:10 a.m. and it continues till 12:15 p.m.. Sharp showers drenched Sivakasi between 12:30 p.m. to 01:25 p.m. and drizzle continues till 02:20 p.m. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. For the next one week sky will be partly cloudy, with slim possibilities for rain, with average maximum and minimum temperature of 28 and 21 degree celsius.
