Rain lashes Sivakasi

After a long gap, rain lashes Sivakasi town, for 30 minutes, on yesterday afternoon. Rain plays hide and seek in Sivakasi for the past one week. It was hot at day time and black clouds hovered at evening time, but the town fails to receive rainfall. Yesterday at 02:10 p.m., Sivakasi receives heavy rainfall, for around 35 minutes. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. Sivakasians were surprised by the sudden downpour. For the next one week sky will be cloudy with slim possibilities for rain, with average maximum and minimum temperature of 37 and 27 degree celsius.
