Rain hits Sivakasi

Today after a hot sultry day, a band of clouds gathered at evening 03:45 p.m., accompanied with thunders. It was drizzling from 04:15 p.m. onwards and the drizzle turns sharp showers from 04:25 p.m. and it continues for around 40 minutes and there was sudden downpour till 06:10 p.m.. Caught unaware school students were drenched in the rain. The drains were overflowed and the roads remained flooded for some hours. Rainy onslaughts leave several roads damaged, in Sivakasi. Several low-lying areas in the town were inundated after the incessant heavy rain. The downpour brought cheers for Sivakasians. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. Rain brings smile in the face of Sivakasians. Today Sivakasi temperature fell down to 28 degree celsius. For the next one week sky will be cloudy with chances of rain with maximum and minimum temperature of 33 and 26 degree celsius.
