Maha Kumbabishekam held at Veera Jakkammal Kovil

Hundreds of devotees witnessed the Maha Kumbabishekam (consecration) of Sivakasi Veera Jakkammal Temple, yesterday. Holy water was poured on the Kovil kalasams atop the rajagopuram and other towers amid chanting of hymns and mantras. Special pujas were performed from the morning. The holy water was sprinkled on devotees immediately after the kumbabishekam through sprinklers. The temple and campus were decked with pandhals, colour papers and festoons. Sivakasians captured Temple photos and Kumbabhisekam moments in their cameras and mobile phones.
