Thai Pournami Puja Performed in Sivakasi

On 10th February 2017, Friday, on Full Moon Day, Pournami Poojai was performed in majority of the temples in Sivakasi town. Special pujas were performed on the special occasion of full moon day. Prasadams were distributed to the devotees. Devotees worshiped and offered their prayers by standing in the long queues. Usually, the Pournami Fasting begins at Sunrise and ends after sighting the Moon. Some Sivakasi devotees only take food after seeing the moon or after evening prayers. You can see the Moon at daytime from day after tomorrow onwards in Sivakasi, for the next five days.
