Campus interview held at Sivakasi SFR

Career and Counselling Cell of Standard Fireworks Rajaratnam College for Women, Sivakasi, organised a campus interview by MPower Young India, Chennai, on February 28 for final year students. It was inaugurated by Principal D. Sasireka. C. Devi Arockia Vanitha, Coordinator, welcomed the gathering. Two hundred and ninety eight final year students attended the interview, of whom 21 were chosen.

Citizen Consumer Club and National Service Scheme of the college organised a road safety awareness programme on February 27. S. Palanikumar, Traffic Inspector, addressed the students on 'Traffic and road safety rules.' S. Subramaniam, president, District Consumer Protection Service Centre, explained the meaning of traffic signboards.

Young Women Entrepreneur Development Centre of the college organised a talk on ‘Why should women become entrepreneurs?’ by V. Vidhya Chellam of Department of Management Studies, Directorate of Distance Education, Madurai Kamaraj University, recently. She spoke about entrepreneurship evolution in India and the charm of being an entrepreneur. She explained the hurdles in the way of women becoming an entrepreneur and challenges faced by them to sustain in the field. M. Uma Rani welcomed the gathering. Priyanga of II. M.Com. proposed a vote of thanks.
