Rain for the fourth consecutive year on Chithirai Pongal

For the last 3 years rain lashed on Chithirai Pongal and Kayirukuthu Festival, in Sivakasi town. And this year also, Sivakasi received moderate rain on the day of Chithirai Pongal. The much awaited rain finally made its presence felt in Sivakasi town, today. Skies turned black and started drizzling and the town receives sharp showers for 15 minutes from 06:55 p.m. to 07:15 p.m.. Sivakasi set to get some more drizzle, for the next week, with maximum and minimum temperature of 37 and 28 degree celsius.
