Today, after a period of one month, Sivakasi town experienced heavy rainfall. For the past two weeks Sivakasi town average weather touches 41 degree celsius. Yesterday the town receives mild drizzle for few minutes, but fails to make the road wet. Today, it was hot at day time, at evening a band of clouds gathered and it was drizzling for around 10 minutes. There was heavy rainfall between 06:00 p.m. to 07:00 p.m.. The sudden change of climate in Sivakasi has brought cheers to the Sivakasians. Within minutes of a steady rain accompanied by thunders the town was seen flooded and clogged. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water and brings temporary relief from water crisis. The downpour has come as a welcome relief for the Sivakasians. For the next two days, Sivakasi will receive rain, sky will be partly cloudy with maximum and minimum temperature of 38 and 28 degree respectively.
