As a part of Panguni Pongal, Mandagapadi held at Sivakasi Arisi Kottai, on 9th April 2018, Monday. The place of mandagapadi was decorated with fruits, festoons, garlands, flowers, thoranais attractive colour papers and decorative lights. Special light effects were made, around 20 design effects were shown in one light. The mandagapadi place were decked up for the special day. Devotees from the nearby villages and Sivakasians thronged the mandagapadi place throughout night to offer prayers to the deity. A huge posse of policemen, assisted by Traffic Constable and volunteers of Sivakasi Hindu Nadar Uravinmurai, regulated the large gathering. After worshiping the Goddess, Sivakasians are busy in buying the traditional Vellai Mittaai and Karuppatti Mittaai. Kayirukuthu Mandagapadi was organised by Sri Sirrambala Nadar Vagaiyaraakal.
