FDP at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education

Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Department of English, School of Liberal Arts and Education organised a two day Faculty Development Programme on Pedagogical Paradigms in Language and Criticism on 17.12.2018 and 18.12.2018. Dr. S. Robert Gnanamony, Professor & Dean, SLATE, KARE delivered Presidential Address on day one. Dr. Nirmal Selvamony, Professor & Head (rtd) Dept. of English, Central University, Tiruvarur delivered a talk on Eco Criticism, Enviro Criticism, Tinai Criticism. In the afternoon session, Dr. S.Robert Gnanamony lectured on Can the Subaltern Speak? Critiquing Kiran Desai’s The Inheritance of Loss. Dr. K. Pramila, Associate Professor & Head, Dept. of English, PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, Coimbatore elaborated the significant role of educators to be updated in using technology to tackle multi-tasking millennium students. She explained the dynamic role of MOOC and Education 4.O in moulding alpha generation. Dr. C. Jothi, Head, Dept of English, the Convener of the FDP delivered the Valedictory Address. Dr. E. V. Ramkumar and Dr. S. Mohan, Associate Professors, Dept of English, KARE organised the programme.
