Panguni Pongal Festival begins with flag hoisting ceremony

On 31st March 2019, Sunday, the 10 days Panguni Pongal Festival commenced at Sivakasi Sri Arulmighu Mariamman Temple with the flag hoisting ceremony. Special pujas were performed on the chief deity Mariamman. The priests also performed special pujas on the flag post, where the holy flag was hoisted. Thousands witnessed Kodiyetram Festival. Light music was arranged. After Kodiyetram event, Fireworks display has been made. Panguni Pongal is on 7th April and Kayirukuthu is on 8th April 2019.
