Sivakasi celebrates Vinayakar Chaturthi

On 2nd September 2019, Monday, the birth of Ganesh - destroyer of obstacles, was celebrated across Sivakasi town with much gusto and merriment. Special poojas were performed at all the temples in the town. Early in the morning, Special Poojas, Abhishegams and Maha Ganapathy Homams were performed to Lord Ganesa. People offered prayers to the God and offered him kozhukattai, Pongal, Sundal and Vilaam Pazham. Lord Vinayaka idols have been installed in various places across Sivakasi town, where devotees flocked in large numbers and sought blessings.
