Thiruvathirai 2020 festival held at Sivakasi

Every year Thiruvathirai Festival held in a grand way in Sivakasi town, around 10 thousand people witness the chariot procession. This year on January 10th, 2020, the first Thiruvathirai festival organised in a grand manner. Unluckily due to corona outbreak Panguni Pongal & Chithirai Pongal were cancelled. Sasti Soorsamharam held inside the temple itself. Second Thiruvathirai held, the procession of Murugan temple alone take part. Usually three chariot procession held for around 6-8 hours. But this year the procession held and completed within no time. Thousands witnessed the festival.
