Four days ahead of schedule, southwest monsoon arrives over Sivakasi

The Weatherman announced the arrival of the southwest monsoon over Sivakasi. This is among the most early realised arrivals in recent years over Sivakasi, where the normal onset date is second week of June. As favourable conditions for monsoon were building, the town and most parts in Virudhunagar district have been reporting rainfall on 4th June 2021, Friday. Heavy rainfall was reported during Friday afternoon between 03:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.. Rain water harvesting systems, installed in buildings, received copious amount of water. Today the town experienced drizzle at afternoon. For the next one week sky will be cloudy with chances of rain with maximum and minimum temperature of 37 and 26 degree celsius.
