Agal Vilaku Sales in Sivakasi

Agal vilakku made of clay, are lighted in the houses for Karthigai festival. Around 10 roadside hackers stalls have mushroomed in the last two days, in Sivakasi. Around 100 models of Agal Vilakkus made of clay were kept for sale at Sivakasi Bazar on the eve of Karthigai Festival. Due to pandemic, sale picks up only today. A roadside vendor near RC Church said sivakasiweekly.com that, we have 10 varieties of Agal Vilakku and price ranges from Re.1 to Rs.350. They procure it from Tanjore and Kumbakonam.
