Devotees begins to offer nerthikadan

The annual panguni pongal festival begins with kodiyetram on 3rd April 2022, Sunday, at Mariamman Temple Sivakasi. Nerthikadan dolls shop sprouted at key junctions of the town. And devotees begins to offer nerthikadan to Goddess Mariamman, after Kodiyetram, Usually nerthikadan to be offered only on the day of Pongal and Kayirukuthu Festival. These days devotees offer nerthikadan before and after pongal.
