Navarathiri Kolu begins

Navarathiri Kolu begins today onwards. Majority of the temples and some Sivakasians in their house, arranged Kolu and displayed Kolu dolls on stairs created from wood. The neighborhood, friends and relatives gather in the house and sing bhajans dedicated to Goddess Saraswathi and Lakshmi. After performing puja, prasadhams like sundal, pongal, aval, kollukattai, pacharisi have been prepared and offered to Goddess and distributed to the gathering.
