Last minute Diwali sale picks up in Sivakasi

North East Monsoon rainfall did not hamper the festive spirits as several Sivakasians and nearby towns thronged the markets and various commercial establishments to make last-minute purchases for Diwali. As Diwali bonus is distributed a day before diwali, Sivakasi workers thronged Sivakasi NRKR road, on the eve of Diwali. Diwali Festive shopping caused massive traffic jams in almost all parts of Sivakasi for the last two days. As thousands of shoppers thronged NRKR Road to make their last minute purchases, traffic was crippled on the key junctions of the town. Everyone carrying gift boxes, diwali dresses, sweet boxes and home appliances with big smile on their face.
