Chithirai Pongal work in Sivakasi

Aslike Panguni Pongal, Chithirai Pongal is also famous in all major towns of Virudhunagar District. In Sivakasi, Chithirai Pongal is celebrated for 10days in Arulmighu Sri Badrakaliamman Kovil. In Sivakasi, 2012 Chithirai Pongal is going to be held on 8th May 2012 and 2012 Kayiru Kuthu Festival on 9th May 2012. The festival starts with Kodiyettram, that is going to be held on 1st May 2012. The decorative works for Chithirai Pongal Utsav taken place, in Arulmighu Sri Badra Kaliamman Thirukovil for last two days, in the temple campus. Mandagapadi place also decorated with colourful decorative papers and lights.
