Heart Camp in Sivakasi

Lions Club of Sivakasi in association with Chennai Apollo Children-s Hospital organised a free heart check up camp in AVT Nursery School, Sivakasi, on 2nd September 2012, Sunday. A team of medical experts led by three cardiac specialists, two general doctors, two nurses and one co-ordinator from Apollo Hospital conducted various tests to identify the children with cardiac ailments. The camp was supported by twenty members and ten Leo from Lions Club of Sivakasi. 75 children were screened. Of these, 36 were identified with heart ailments and free cardiac surgery will be performed in Apollo Children-s Hospital, Chennai.
