17-09-2012 17th September 2012 Courtesy: Sairam Siva 125th Free Mental Health Camp The 125 Free Mental Health Camp was organised by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithy in association with M.C.Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation, Madurai. The function was held at Arasan Ganesan Kalyaana Mandapam, Sivakasi, on 16th September 2012, Sunday. Mr.Dinakaran, M.D. Ramalinga Mills, was the Chief Guest for the function. The camp started with a prayer song by Dr.Pasupathi. Earlier the bhajans were performed by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi members. Lightening of Kuthuvilakku was done by Mr.Buruva Raghavan, Chennai. Dr.Rama Subramaniam, M.S.Chellamuthu Trust and Research Foundation welcomed the gathering. In his speech, he mentioned that, on the first camp only 75 patients were treated, now it is increased to 220 patients from five districts. Mr.Annamalai, Editor, The Hindu, Mrs.Raja Kumari, M.S.Chellamuthu Trust, Dr.Ganesh, Mr.Machavel, Virudhunagar District President and Mr. Baghavan Daas, Convenor were present in the camp. All the doctors and supporting staff for the camp were honored with shields by the Chief Guest. Patient Mr.Selvaraj in his feed back said that, earning is nothing, serving is everything. We are thankful for the Trust and Samithy, he added. Lunch was arranged for the gathering. The camp began at 11:00 a.m. and ended at 3:00 p.m.. A team of three doctors and 15 supporting staff led by Dr.Rama Subramaniam and examined the patients. Around 40 volunteers from Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithy also actively participated, in the camp. Around 220 people were screened and benefited out of this camp. Free medicines were provided for a period of one month. As a part of the camp, some beneficiaries get Pranic Healing Treatment, for free. Narayana Seva has been done for around 450 people. |
