Helmet sales pick up in Sivakasi

The rule making helmet wearing compulsory from this month in Virudhunagar District has increased its sale in Sivakasi and Thiruthangal. Cashing in on the demand are pavement sellers who have mushroomed overnight on major areas of the town (Near Bus Stand, Van Stand, Bell Hotel, Thiruthangal Road, Bazar and Ayyappan Kovil). These pavement sellers, charge between Rs.450-650 per helmet. Expecting, all the Sivakasi motorcyclist will turn to be steel headed in one or two days.
